Acupuncture is a traditional system of healing practiced in Eastern countries for thousands of years. It is a holistic approach assessing the body as a whole rather than focusing on specific symptoms so treatments are individually tailored to you.

Very fine needles are used to stimulate specific areas

Many physios and doctors use acupuncture or dry needling as pain relief but it can be used for so much more. Research has shown acupuncture stimulates chemicals in the brain which relieve pain and enhance mood. It also appears to produce a widespread autonomic response to normalise blood pressure, gastric function and body temperature.

The traditional Chinese view is that energy flows around the body in specific ways and when the body is healthy the flow is free. If the flow is disturbed or blocked pain and illness may result. Acupuncture helps to restore the flow and balance to promote well being.

Used in Asia in all settings it can help treat much more. Many private health insurance policies include cover for acupuncture provided by British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) registered practitioners. As policies do vary It is worth checking to see if you qualify.

Also as a member of BAcC and a Registered nurse you can donate blood after acupuncture treatments from me without any delay.
